About Us
The Okas Experiment is a global initiative redefining how sustainability intelligence is created, shared, and applied. It is based on the echo network’s proprietary, science-based process developed over 5 years with 650 experts and over 200k community members. Okas combines scientific rigor, artificial intelligence, and human collaboration to transform how systems-level challenges are understood and addressed. The knowledge our community produces powers our collaboration engine to continuously reinvent our understanding of global sustainability. Our vision is to create the world’s first collaborative engine for sustainability knowledge — a living system where knowledge and partnerships evolve together.
What is Okas?
The Okas Experiment is a single digital source for leaders, decision-makers, and students to learn about sustainability issues, easily define their problem, map and identify key values and needs of relevant stakeholders, incorporate evidence planning into their targets, and develop cooperative action that works across the ecosystem. Through our digital platform, activation programs, and global network, Okas enables organizations not only to access the latest sustainability insights but also to participate directly in shaping them. By combining AI infrastructure with a living human network, Okas creates a new platform for collaborative intelligence ecosystems that learn, adapt, and grow with the world they serve.
How We Work
The echo network has developed a global model uniting communities, academia, industry, NGOs, and governments to advance sustainable development in emerging economies. Central to this process is a collaboration model designed to leverage existing knowledge, innovations, and community connections within the echo network through ‘Communities of Practice’ . This model has been formulated into a methodology for interested organizations and governments to take our platform to their own communities.
